Suspend to RAM

Yes, another delay, we had some snow come in Wednesday night.  I stayed home Thursday then Friday morning while I was TRYING to get some work done a guy loses control and knocks another vehicle into mine.  I’m ok and so is my vehicle for the most part, but I spent most of today dealing with the insurance and getting a new taillight on my vehicle.  Wussie will be with me tomorrow and we’re going to chat a bit on what kind of computer you can build for just $1000.  I’ll also be drawing for the 60GB Hard Drive so be sure to tune in.

Due to problems with my schedule (one of my good friends is back in town for Thanksgiving after being in Iraq for a year) I couldn’t have any guests on the show.  But I do offer my thoughts on the new nForce 680i chipset and the GeForce 8800.  THere were also a few questions in the listener mailbag.

Sorry for not posting sooner, due to circumstances beyond my control….that is preparing for finals, plus wrestling a new starter on my car, among other things that happened this weekend.  There will more than likely be no episode of Suspend to RAM this week.  New episodes will resume next Saturday.  I promise.

Sorry about the extended delay.  I had to do more editing than usual and the SQL Database died last night so I wasn’t able to access the site.

 Laird and Wussie from the Redvsblue.com forums joined me in this second episode.  We talked about Dell’s new AMD systems and we even answered a couple questions for the listener mailbag.  Unfortunately Comrade693 was unable to join us this week so we’re postponing our Firefox 2.0 discussion until next week.

Ok, I know during the first episode I promised we’d be having a giveaway.  Only I didn’t say how you could enter, or what I would be giving away…exactly.

 For the month of November I will be drawing a name from everyone that submits a technical question to me.  Even if I don’t read it on the show or even reply to it you will still be entered.  All you have to do is e-mail your question to help@suspendtoram.com  Put your real name (and whatever name you want me to call you should I read your question) your mailing address and your e-mail address in the message.  No I won’t spam you, in fact I probably will NEVER e-mail you if that makes you feel any better.  I just need to know where to send the prize and how to contact you should you win.

Yes folks, you’ve waited patiently and it finally happened the VERY FIRST episode of Suspend to RAM.  With me today is Wussie and Reedmon from the Redvsblue.com forums.  We are talking about IE7, The KillerNIC, Intel’s recently launched Quad Core CPUs, plus a few minutes of us ranting about the over-use of Blue LEDS.  I did mention a contest in there but stay tuned I’ll release the details later on.

 We aren’t on iTunes yet, mainly because I don’t use iTunes and don’t know exactly how to submit a podcast via iTunes.  Anyone familiar with Podpress and willing to help please e-mail me mrevil@suspendtoram.com
